The large area under the livestock tunnel can be used to house several animals in the horse shed and to store plenty of feed as well as the necessary tools and equipment for their care.

REGA regulations for horse sheds
In order to regularise the use of your livestock arch PVC structure as a horse field shelter (and regardless of the professional activity), you must have a permit from the REGA or Registro General de Explotaciones Ganaderas (General Register of Livestock Farms). Under the current legislative framework (Royal Decree 804/2011) for zootechnical and sanitary regulations, you will need to meet 2 requirements: meet the location parameters and obtain approval from your local council.
Your prefabricated livestock building must respect certain distances from other facilities that may represent a health and hygiene risk for the health of the animals. It must also be far away from railways, motorways and highways.
Permission from the local council will depend on a number of factors, such as the size of the horse shelter, the layout, environmental friendliness, land classification, the feasibility of running the shelter and the type of activity.
At Abristhor we recommend that you always consult the current laws, as it is possible that, in the particular case of a removable shelter, if it is moved to another farm before a period of 3 months, it is not subject to a prior request, whatever its configuration, and in this way, it is simple and quick for you to improve the comfort of your animals. Finally, remember that each pen or box must have a minimum size of 9 square metres for medium-sized horses and mares and 12 square metres for stallions.
